Solutions provider EPLAN has organised an online trade fair with its affiliate CIDEON for the second time. Around 950 registrations from 70 countries around the world underscore how successful the EPLAN & CIDEON Virtual Fair format is. The Virtual Fair opened its digital portals on 21 March 2017. Monheim, Germany, 29 March 2017 – Twelve hours of non-stop live operations in all the world’s time zones: the EPLAN & CIDEON Virtual Fair took place on 21 March and drew enormous interest from numerous countries around the world. All participants had their own clear “home field advantage”: virtual attendance at the fair began directly from work and independent of whether they were in Mumbai, Peking, Barcelona or Stuttgart. Available completely online, using as well tablet or smartphone, all interested parties were able to take part in this live event.

The chosen time was also interesting – a good four weeks before the Hannover Messe, EPLAN & CIDEON provided interesting insights into the upcoming product highlights for attendees. Live presentations and WebEx demos for brand new solutions EPLAN Cogineer and Syngineer were on the agenda, as were the engineering specialists’ strategies for the entire solutions and services portfolios. What did a tour of the online trade fair look like? After logging in into the foyer, visitors received an overview of the various virtual rooms and online offerings. At its centre was an auditorium that hosted various live presentation at the top of every hour. Of particular interest to users was the software demos area, where consultants provided insights into the different software solutions every hour. From SAP integration to EPLAN Platform to manufacturing integration with EPLAN Pro Panel and EPLAN Smart Wiring, a wide variety of demonstrations touched on many current core engineer-ing issues. In the trade fair hall itself there were different stands, including the House of Mechatronics. In the community area, an additional eighteen partners presented their solutions in the context of EPLAN & CIDEON’s range of products. The networking area was a special highlight for all attendees – from managers to design engineers – where EPLAN & CIDEON experts from 29 countries around the world passed on their knowledge and know how. Everyone could chat with everyone, making it completely global in scope. Overall, this was a truly unparalleled opportunity.

In conclusion

The event was a success in every aspect, with numerous interesting expert dialogues and a true sense of togeth-erness among all participants.
