During the Hannover Messe, from 25 to 29 April, EPLAN will be presenting innovative solutions for more efficient engineering. The core topic for this year’s presentation is the “House of Mechatronics,” with the premiere of an innovative solution jointly developed with affiliate CIDEON. Additional technological highlights include the Smart Wiring Application, for wiring control cabinets, and a new era of the Data Portal. EPLAN will be presenting in Hanover at four stands – including in the context of Industry 4.0 in Hall 8. Monheim, Germany, 16 March 2016 – EPLAN, based in Monheim, will be presenting fascinating innovations in mechatronic engineering at their main stand, which covers about 400 square metres in Hall 6. The “House of Mechatronics” concept isn’t the only topic being presented at the trade show stand – technologically speaking, EPLAN, the solutions provider, will also be presenting a groundbreaking new development in cooperation with its affiliate CIDEON. This exceptional mechatronic solution will be unveiled during its premiere at the Hannover Messe. Additional technological highlights in Hanover include improvements to EPLAN Platform Version 2.6, insights into the new era of the Data Portal and the Smart Wiring Application for the simple wiring of control cabinets. Furthermore, the core trade show presentation will advance EPLAN Experience, which with its eight fields of action offers powerful support for optimising engineering processes. Numerous delegations from a wide variety of countries will be able to experience live presentation at the stand in their native languages. Moreover, consultants and sales employees from EPLAN USA will be there to specifically and individually serve interested parties from this year’s official partner country, the United States.

„Smart Engineering and Production 4.0“

Industry 4.0 concepts are being featured as part of the programme in Hall 8. EPLAN is presenting this range of topics in two separate areas. Under the motto “Smart Engineering and Production 4.0,” technology partners EPLAN, Rittal and Phoenix Contact will be showing the complete vertical integration of product data and engineering data for the second year running. At the stand, measuring 210 sqare metres, visitors can discover solution approaches for smart manufacturing in the context of Industry 4.0. Core topics of the integrated value chain are expanded upon this year with new concepts based on digital article data, standardised product data descriptions along the product lifecycle, activities within the topic area of optimised cabinet cooling, and innovative concepts for the digital certification of switching systems. The topic of PLM/PDM is also increasingly coming into focus as a central structural element of a completely digitalised process. EPLAN is additionally represented as part of the SmartFactory KLin Hall 8, where the company is the central engineering authority, supporting visualisation and maintenance as part of operations. Machine data can be exchanged via OPC UA – offering security for project data. A connection between panels and hardware is created via the EPLAN View app as enabling technology for efficient maintenance and service scenarios. There is also a comprehensive EPLAN presenation at Rittal’s stand in Hall 11. Topics being presented include the integrated value chain, which plays a decisive role, as well as the Smart Wiring Application – the new software for easy wiring of control cabinets.
