Technische Alternative is present at the EPLAN Data Portal
27 devices available - from relay to freely programmable controller

The “Technische Alternative”, located in Lower Austria, develops and produces freely programmable devices and extensions for building automation. For over 30 years now, this middle-sized, family-run company has been known for reliable, and above all, universal control technology. Today, roughly 65 employees work here. Once primarily focused on solar thermal power, now developed for all aspects of building automation, the “TA” stands for high quality of Austrian origin. Every x2 device can be programmed, visualised and simulated using a free software pack.
The flag ship, the UVR16x2, offers 16 input and outputs, and comes in different model designs. The “x2 series” devices are interconnected using CAN bus, but also offers extensions for inputs and outputs as well as signal converters for our in-house DL bus.
With this first step, a total of 27 devices, primarily those for top-hat rail mounting of the x2 series, were prepared for EPLAN. This primarily concerns those working in planning and building switching cabinets, with a focus on energy management in buildings: hybrid heating systems, cascading of heat pumps or sector coupling are popular use cases in homes, commercial and industrial facilities.
The x2 series features the “Control and Monitoring Interface” (C.M.I.), a device with many possibilities: it offers a connection to a web server for remote access (LAN, internet optional) and the visualisation of data (accessible via browser or mobile app) and servers as a data logger for the entire system.
