Hannover Messe 2025

31 March to 04 April 2025 l Hall 11 Stand E06

Visit us at Hannover Messe 2025 and find out more about the potential of artificial intelligence in industrial automation

In control and switchgear production, AI opens up new opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency. EPLAN is driving forward corresponding engineering solutions.

For example, ideas are currently maturing for two use cases:

  • an ‘EPLAN Copilot’, which provides our customers with answers to questions about the use of EPLAN software and our product portfolio as well as general engineering knowledge, and
  • an automated 3D mounting panel layout in EPLAN Pro Panel: This service generates suggestions for the placement of components on a mounting panel based on the bill of materials of projects.

With the unique expertise of EPLAN together with its sister company Rittal, artificial intelligence becomes tangible: We combine hardware, software and automation systems to create end-to-end solutions – and use AI where it offers our customers real added value in their engineering processes.

We will also be presenting other exciting topics in Hanover, such as

EPLAN Platform 2026: We are constantly developing our software and working above all to simplify manual operations for our users. For the next launch, for example, we have improved the handling of articles, views in the 3D tool ProPanel and the configuration of wiring. There will also be extended search options, a new download centre and additional functions. Fancy a sneak preview?

Digitalised planning in building technology: Office complexes, airports, shopping centres: The planning of monitoring, safety, control, regulation and optimisation equipment is an important component for the efficient and resource-saving operation of a building. EPLAN relies on a holistic database that goes far beyond the engineering processes – along the entire digital value chain.

Efficient engineering in energy technology: The conversion of the energy supply to renewable energies requires a massive expansion and modernisation of existing technology. EPLAN provides support here with efficient reutilisation and the provision of preconceived solutions. And that across the entire energy supply chain. After all, the networked use of data and industrialised engineering, manufacturing and operating processes play an important role in ensuring a CO2-neutral and secure energy supply and competitive energy prices.

Cable proD

Digitalised machine cabling: Today, a machine is often only cabled during assembly. This means that connections are only created once sensors, actuators and the control cabinet have been installed. With the new EPLAN Cable proD solution, on the other hand, installation routes and cable lengths can now be determined much earlier – as early as the engineering stage and with the help of the digital machine model. This not only means that the space required for the cabling is determined at an early stage, it also makes it easier to order suitable pre-assembled cables. What's more, the digital model is used for coordinated planning. Changes that need to be made at short notice are now the exception, making it easier to keep to schedules.

From 31 March to 4 April 2025 in Hall 11, Stand E06, experience the potential of these innovations. For your company too!
